Forever David’s, by Shannon Bailey

Forever David’s is a poignant memoir written by a woman whose life is forever altered in a single night. When Emily Perkins is swept from an ordinary existence into a world she never dared dream of, she finds love and destiny sometimes hover between shadows and light…and twin brothers, who both have a story to tell.

Through the eyes of a fictional character, Shannon Bailey weaves a smart, fast-paced, romantic tale with an ending that left me reeling. And thrilled the story will continue in Develyn’s Tale…

Develyn’s Tale, by Shannon Bailey

Emily Perkins is desperate to protect her son. Develyn Blackwell is determined she will know the truth. And somewhere between the past and present, they both hope to find the redemption they so long for!

Develyn’s Tale is another emotional, fast-paced story of the Blackwell brothers, and the one woman they’re both destined to love. Ms. Bailey takes us on a roller coaster ride where the line between good and evil is often blurred, but love knows no bounds. I cannot wait for the conclusion of this tale!

Almost Human Trilogy, by Melanie Nowak

It is difficult to log on to Amazon forums, and not find Melanie Nowak’s Almost Human Trilogy listed as a paranormal/vampire fan favorite. And now I know why! Endearing characters and an engaging plot flow beautifully through all three volumes of this memorable story. Felicity is the reluctant heroine, Cain, the elder vampire seeking redemption, Sindy, the bloodthirsty temptress, and Ben, the charming mortal, all dragged into a venomous struggle for power in a small college town.

I found this series to be exceptional, with a depth and dedication to the characters and plot that moves the reader through the twists and turns of a charming tale delivered by a very talented, articulate author. Ms. Nowak sets the bar high with quality writing and attention to detail that yields an enchanting, addictive series. I cannot wait for the continuation of this tale!

Het Madden A Zombie Perspective, by Calvin A. L. Miller

I am an author and fan of the paranormal romance genre, so this novel was a definite walk on the wild side for me! However, I found Mr. Miller’s portrayal of an average Joe waking up to find himself a monster from his most terrifying nightmares caught up in a world gone insane captivating and heartbreaking. Zombies are mindless beings we cheer for the hero to slaughter…right? Not so in this exciting tale! Het is the perfect combination of hero and monster, who kept me turning pages to see what was next. I found myself pulling for the undead, and looking forward to another story from this talented, imaginative author!

Scent of a Vampire, by Jude Stephens

Olivia is a woman determined to spice up her typically bland life… Or so says her best friend anyway. She has recently discovered she possess some unusual powers, so she figures why not throw caution to the wind, and let vivacious Janel show her how the other half lives. And after all, a deal was a deal, and she wasn’t one to squelch on a pinkie swear.

Roberto is a suave, cultured vampire, who usually goes for leggy beauties, who can keep up with him in and out of the bedroom. But, he is inexplicably drawn to the sensay, who has a habit of breaking into song at the most inappropriate moments. Their wild trek across the Pine Barrens of New Jersey to the shores of Lake Ontario, eluding those who hope to use Olivia’s power for their own gains, leaves Roberto wondering if he’ll lose his heart, as well as his mind, to the one woman he has trouble keeping up with…in and out of the bedroom.

Ms. Stephens razor-sharp wit makes this story a fun, hilarious romp with memorable characters and sizzling sensuality. Olivia is the heroine we can all relate to, who captures the heart of the hero we all dream about!

Vulnerable, by Amy Lane

This book for me was a wonderful excursion off the beaten path of paranormal romance. Vampires, Elves, and an Aztec god…oh my! I very much enjoyed a realm of magical beings existing just beyond the veil of a remote gas station, and an ordinary young woman hoping only to carve a place for herself in the world turning out to be a goddess, who would further bind these extraordinary creatures closer together.

Ms. Lane has created a world where love translates into healing power, and devotion yields kingdoms where the lonely and damned find protection and comfort. As a writer, finding the time to read the work of others is often a guilty pleasure, and Amy Lane’s Little Goddess Series is now at the top of my list!
