Lisa Phillips gives us one heck of a paranormal romance in Rogue Everlasting. Her plot is unique and with book stores and eReaders jammed full of Vampire romance, that says something. It’s the story itself that is amazing and the way that this storyteller spins her tale that kept me enraptured from page one to the end. Her characters are larger than life, and yet with every page I read I could easily see them floating through the night, loving their families and taking care of business like they were everyday ordinary people.
Her dialogue is a mix of Southern Charm, everyday speak and a bit of language from the times of knights and ladies, and best of all it’s easy to read and understand. Her hero, Reece Clairmont, is a rogue of the first degree and when this talented author brings him to his knees at the altar of true love she does it with flair and with heart.
Her heroine, Sidney Chambers, is all business and it’s really fun to watch as she loses her heart to our handsome rogue. The romance is timeless — boy chases girl until she lets him catch her — with a few paranormal issues included to make the novel hard to put down. The love scenes are sensual and tastefully understated, yet I could feel the heat myself.
The biggest sign of a great storyteller is that I couldn’t stop reading, not when domestic chores or even pleasures called to me, I had to read one more page, one more chapter until I finally closed the book with a definite sigh.
This is a must read for any lover of paranormal romance and even if you’re not a fan of the genre give this one a try because it’s just that good of a story.

Simon and Fallyn were sexy and sensual, with a lot of lighthearted dialogue that Ms Phillips has a way with. Tristan and Kate are fierce, and oh so sexy and when Tristian lovingly called “the old one” at 11,000 or so years old, calls his Kate My Lady you just swoon. The entire ensemble come back for more in the third book Rogue Everlasting.
Reece, the bad boy of the family, meets Sidney, a doctor, who has been bitten by an enemy and in order to save her, he must turn her much to her chagrin. We learn about the baggage the both bring with them, and the sensual dance begins….
The old world charm in which they live in the south, in mansions beyond our wildest dreams, drinking blood from chalices, served by butler and maid faithfuls . Of course the Rhealm is not always peaceful and we have pitfalls along the way, and in the end, whether Mortal or Immortal, the love of ones family and having the love of ones mate is really what life or existence is all about. If this sounds mushy to you…maybe.but I for one could not stop reading this series.
Ms Phillips has shown me her writing style is smooth, her dialogue strong, and the fun shines through more than most I have read recently…Some really laugh out loud moments…Some very sensual scenes between the characters…and most of all the love.

“Ms Philips weaves a tale of intrigue and beauty that had this reader hooked. I could not put this book down. I read it not knowing this was the sequel, so at first the mass of individuals that were in the first chapter took me by surprise but once I ironed out who was who, I fell in love which each and every character. Characters full of depth and richly crafted. Even the jumping in scenes to multiple points of view didn’t faze me in the least.
Tristan is a hero among ALPHA Heros. He is confidant, gorgeous and knows what he is doing, he was born and breed to be a knight. Katie a couple hundred years younger then Tristan is his fledgling and she is as enchanting and strong as he is… Both are flawed and scared of loving as they have lost so much already. But the secondary characters add so much life and humor to the book you will love them all equally.
